Lamphun town is relatively small, quiet. There is no tall buildings, mostly are three and four commercial buildings alternating with older buildings over 50 years old and wooden row houses with terracotta tile roof.  The main road is Rat Uthit road which continues from Chiang Mai - Saraphi - Umong - Lamphun roads.  From there will enter the zone of old city wall with two main roads parallel to each other. That are Inthayongyot  road and road around the city inside and outside which paralleling to Kuang River. Tourism in downtown Lamphun is the main attraction of many temples which mostly built according to the traditional Lanna style.
