History: It is a royal monastery, Woramahavihan built in the 17th Buddhist century during the reign of King Arthitayarat, the King Hariphunchai 33. Initially, Wat Phra That Hariphunchai Woramahavihan was the King Arthitayarat’s Royal Palace. The area around the temple consists of inner and outer walls. Later, after the king donated his palace as a temple for Buddhism, the outer wall was removed.
