History: This village has a river stream flowing through the Maekana River, the village was named by the Karen hill tribe whose lifestyle is based on a sufficiency economy. The villagers have their own language and clothing style. Most of the villagers make their own clothes for personal use. Starting with growing cotton, spinning, weaving and decorating, where the tradition has been inherited down from generation to generation. The village also has a weaving group where hilltribe and textile products are available for purchase.
