History: Mandapa Wiang Klang, originally, the temple was once surrounded by water. Later, the path of the river changed, the water became diverted far away and became Mae Ping river. After the water had disappeared from the temple, the temple became deserted.
The outstanding and cultural values of the archaeology of the Mandapa Wiang Klang is a legendary place associated with the origin of "Queen Cham Thewi". Its architecture of the early archaeology of Lanna style which is outstanding and unique.
